So You've Been Disappointed, Again...Here's What to Do!

We have all had experiences in which we have been disappointed.  You plan for life to be a certain way, and it doesn't turn out the way you thought it would, or the way you had intended it to be.  It could be the simpler things in life, like you weighed yourself after dieting for 2 weeks and gained a pound.  Or bigger things, maybe you planned for a job that you were quite certain was "yours" in every aspect of the term, and for some reason, it didn't pan out.   You find yourself feeling - disappointed.  Maybe disappointed is not the right word for some, it could be frustration or depression or grief - but whatever the term, we know that we don't feel to good about it.  

Think about the last time you felt disappointed.  Where did you thoughts go?  Did you find yourself decreasing your "desire" so as to lessen the disappointment?  For example, did you say, "I didn't want that job anyway", or "I didn't really think I would lose any weight, I never do".  In effort to deal with disappointment we decrease our desires and we decrease our wants, so that when disappointment happens it just doesn't feel as bad.  People say, expect the worst, then when the best happens you can be happy, but when the worst happens you won't even flinch.  

It's perfectly ok to reframe and essentially change your vibration about a subject, however, there are reframes that help us to move in the direction of what we want...and reframes, like those above, that move us in the direction of what we don't want. 

You maybe have found an unhealthy way, a "coping mechanism" per say to help you deal with disappointment...but according the the law of attraction, you are not allowing wealth and prosperity to easily flow into your life.  Which would you like more?  Do you want to be prosperous or do you want to merely cope?  I know the answer to that!

So, when you feel disappointed with your outcome....here is what to do. 

  • Stand the space that you are a conscious creator, and that you are open to the possibility of your higher purpose.  You hold great power in this space.

  • When you feel disappointed, notice it, and take it as a guidance that you could shift.

  • Decide what shift you want to make.

  • Choose thoughts that are in alignment with what you truly want to create in your life - "the perfect career is coming my way, and will be here at some point if I let it."

  • If you can't make the leap into reframing those thoughts quite yet, then take good care of yourself, and honor yourself enough to want to feel better.

  • Trust that you might be closer than you think in moving on, forward, or ahead. 

  • Trust that everything that you need and want has already been given to you, and you need just allow for physical manifestation. 

  • Stand in the place of gratitude, appreciation, and joy for what is - the is the highest vibrational state and good things will flow to you.  

  • Remember the feeling of disappointment or any negative feeling for that matter is not "bad" but it's what you decide to do with it that makes or breaks the flow of prosperity and abundance...remember you are a conscious creator.
