Find Your Voice, Speak Your Truth + Light Up The Neighborhood

· Posted in Self Care + Self Love

You know the feeling.

You’ve got a lump in your throat and can’t seem to find the courage to speak.  Your heart almost aches because once again you find yourself out of alignment.

You’ve made a choice to silence who it is you are, and speak or do  what you think others want, instead of what’s right for you.

It might surprise you ~ the number of times in a day you dishonor your truth and your voice, and ultimately yourself.

Do any of these ring true?

“How are you?”  You say, “fine”.

“What would you like to do?”
You say, “whatever you want.”

“I love you.” You say, “I love you too.”

The truth is — you feel one way and often times say something else in the name of self preservation, looking bad, or not being accepted by others.   The truth is, it’s ego preservation.

Is this wrong or bad?  No, of course not.  But there is great power in awareness, and you can begin a journey of finding your voice, and speaking your truth from who it is you truly are, who you are becoming, and where you want to go.

There is always an opportunity for the growth and expansion in this area.  I’m not sure I know anyone who speaks their truth 100% of the time.  However, this is an opportunity to uplevel your energy and alignment — and experience the amazing transformational benefits of doing so.

Life begins to happen.  You evolve, and grow yes… but you start to GLOW.  You love yourself and your voice, and your spirit in a way that can literally light up the neighborhood.

How does this relate to creating your reality you ask?  I know you are anxious to get there…but consider the emotional and energetic upheaval that goes on within when you are NOT speaking your truth.  It’s not pretty, and not good for getting into alignment with what you’d like to create.

Don’t get me wrong.  This isn’t about spewing your demands, your boundaries and expectations at the expense of others – this is about honoring the voice within,  the voice and spirit of who you are, and making choices that are in alignment with your highest intentions ~ and where you want to BE.

So, I want to lean you in the direction of this powerful space, so you can take back your integrity, your worth and your ever expanding JOY.

10 Sweet Ways To Find Your Voice

1. Acknowledge you have a voice, and a spirit that is unique and perfect, deserves to be heard, and deserves to GLOW.

2.  From this awareness be truthful with yourself about what you want, where you’ve been out of integrity with you, and why you’ve been self protecting.

3.  Remember  ~ it’s more important to realize that you honor your voice and your spirit than having others do so, so this is about your self awareness first.

4.  In honoring your own voice know this is deep self appreciation, and translates to your subconscious mind as worthiness.  (really important!)

5.  Speak.  In the name of truth, honesty, and integrity ~ speak your truth.  Start with yourself, and lean yourself in the direction of speaking your truth to others.  Get in front of the mirror and own it.

6.  Now, own the value of speaking your truth, and know you are worthy of doing so.  Know you deserve an opinion, you deserve to be heard, to glow, to be in alignment with all that you are.

7.  Know you are at choice.  You have a choice at all given times to speak your truth, to live and create your life as you want.  You have the right to think differently than another, to change direction, to move, to leave, to stay, and even to change your mind.

8.  Be willing to experience fall out. You can’t make everyone happy 100% of the time. When you begin to “find your voice, and make your choice”  know there will be people who don’t agree with you.  That’s ok.

9.  Again, practice being ok with #8.  When you can find alignment and be an “allower” of others in their not allowing of you – you are graduating a rock star creator.

10.  In the moment of choice, find your ground…take a breath.  Find your voice, love it, love who you are, and speak your truth.  You have just make the choice to expand, to create, and to truly evolve who it is you are.
